A 10-hour layover between flights from Cusco and to Chicago was enough to force me out of the airport and roam the neighborhoods of Peru's capital. But I'm most proud of the fact that a Peruvian officer thought I was Hispanic because of my Spanish...at least I hope that was the reasoning.
